Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program (RNIPP)

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Scheme is quite similar to this program (AIPP). The RNIPP differs from AIPP in that it is community-driven, whereas AIPP assists companies in the Atlantic province in hiring people. It provides a means of attracting human capital to participating towns by making it simpler for people to come to Canada by staying there.

Applicants are given a one-year work permit while their permanent residence application is processed by IRCC.
